Trinidad and Tobago’s senior men’s football team closed its preparation for next month’s start of the road to Russia FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a goalless draw at home to already eliminated Nicaragua, last night.
The two teams faced off at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port-of-Spain, with the host team looking a shadow of that which enjoyed a 2-1 win on the road to Panama only four days prior.
As scarce as they were, the “Soca Warriors” enjoyed majority of possession and opportunities, but were unable to capitalise against the Central American outfit, a team which looked impressively lively considering its recent elimination from CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers to Jamaica.
Apart from his team’s inability to seal the win, Warriors head coach Stephen Hart was given a further headache with the injury to captain Kenwyne Jones who was stretched off within the final quarter with an injury. However, tests later confirmed no bone damage.
For T&T, the draw closed its preparation next month’s two tricky World Cup qualifying openers. On November 13, the Warriors will make a Central American trip to face Guatemala, a mere four days before they host the USA at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
The three teams and St Vincent and the Grenadines are in Group C of the fourth round qualifiers, of which only two teams will progress to the final round of qualifiers. The reverse fixtures against Guatemala and USA, as well as the home and away matches against St Vincent will be played next year.
The top two teams from Group A and B will also progress to the final round of World Cup qualification for CONCACAF.
Master P is coming out swingin’ at Kobe Bryant — saying Kobe’s public display of emotion over Lamar Odom is an ACT … because he had the chance to SAVE Lamar, but didn’t step up when it counted.
Master P was charged up in the video — saying he was “like a mentor” to Odom and personally knew how serious Lamar was about wanting to return to the NBA.
He says Kobe was also aware of the situation and could have used his clout with the Lakers to get Odom back on the squad, but instead did nothing.
“If Kobe was his friend … Kobe, like, owns the team. He could’ve got the man back on the team … that’s all he wanted.”
P also goes off on the NBA — saying Odom was “blackballed” from the league over his decision to be on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” … because at the time, the NBA wanted nothing to do with them.
As for Khloe, P says he truly believed Odom loved her — but made a mistake in marrying her because “he didn’t realize what he was getting into.” He concludes with a warning to James Harden.

Hardcore is an annual obstacle course event which is held in Santa Cruz.
The event attracts teams from various fitness and corporate bodies who endure many physical obstacles along the way.
Looptt was told the Hardcore committee is currently investigating to see if the deceased had any pre-existing conditions.
We were told all participants must sign a waiver which advises that if they have any medical conditions they should not take part.
The committee is expected to issue a formal statement on the incident.
